Dr Haomin Jiang is a professor-level senior engineer, adjunct professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He graduated as a PhD from the Material Science and Engineering Department of Harbin Institute of Technology in 1998 and joined Baosteel R&D Center on the same year. He became a chief researcher in 2002. His research interests are forming technology of auto material and hydroforming technology. He owns 25 patents, and has published more than 80 papers and 2 books.
Dr Jiang has won many awards, including one first prize and one second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, Chinese Patent Excellence Award, Chinese Youth Science and Technology Award, and first prize of Metallurgical Enterprise Management Innovation Achievement, etc.
Dr Jiang is also deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Development and Application Technology of Automotive, a member of the board of material deep processing branch of Chinese Metals Society, a member of the board of plastic engineering branch of China Society of Mechanical Engineering. He is also a member on the editorial board of "Journal of Plasticity Engineering". Dr Jiang was appointed as a leading figure of China’s Million Talents Plan in 2016.
