Project Title: Reducing CO2 emissions and increased productivity from the iron blast furnace through improved understanding of the phase chemistry and reactions in iron ore sintering system

Phase equilibrium in the sintering system and the potential operating regimes where SFCA-I structures can be obtained are to be identified, and the reaction of matrix material with individual ore particles will be examined, for the purpose of providing the key fundamental information in sinter production. The current processes are to be optimized, CO2 emission by blast furnace reduced, and productivity improved.
